So yesterday I finally got around to emailing my customer list about the upcoming sale, and moments after having pushed the ‘send’ button I realize that the dates, times, and even the address had been left out. Yikes!!! Where was my brain?!
So here you go, for all the folks who are searching for the wheres and whens of this here pottery sale thingy:

In my rounds through the neighborhood I also left this message on the porches of folks who appeared to have young artists living there:

Hope folks can make it on out!
Cheers!

About Carter Gillies
I am an active potter and sometime pottery instructor who is fascinated by the philosophical side of making pots, teaching these skills, and issues of the artistic life in general. I seem to have a lot to say on this blog, but I don't insist that I'm right. I'm always trying to figure stuff out, and part of that involves admitting that I am almost always wrong in important ways. If you are up for it, please help me out by steering my thoughts in new and interesting directions. I always appreciate the challenge of learning what other people think.
So how did you do this last weekend?
I had good traffic on Saturday and not much on Sunday. Overall it was a fairly average event, though the weather turned out to be so nice I wonder if that wasn’t people’s excuse to go out and do other things! You always wonder whether you’d be better served by just bad enough weather that folks are either hunkered down or going stir crazy enough to make a visit. One more weekend left, so I’ll take it at this point!
Thankfully I moved a few pots into new homes, and I was especially pleased to get some cups and bowls into the hands of some new young customers. It really is such a thrill watching them with their new pots! Makes the whole thing worth while, sort of. 🙂
Thanks for asking!
