The afterglow

Thanks everyone who made it on out to the sales these past two weekends! And for those who couldn’t I felt your well wishes and support bolstering us throughout. Thanks!

I am sincerely grateful to live in a community of folks who show their caring by supporting and believing in the arts, who shop local, and who actively craft, knit, sew, bead, cook, bake, garden, sculpt, paint, build, design, write, tell stories, and do other creative things themselves and also support the handmade efforts of their friends and neighbors. We are all artists deep down inside and our creativity makes the world a better more livable place to be. So thanks to all who share of themselves and who appreciate and nurture the creative endeavors of others. You help make this community a place I am proud to call home…..   Thanks!

About Carter Gillies

I am an active potter and sometime pottery instructor who is fascinated by the philosophical side of making pots, teaching these skills, and issues of the artistic life in general. I seem to have a lot to say on this blog, but I don't insist that I'm right. I'm always trying to figure stuff out, and part of that involves admitting that I am almost always wrong in important ways. If you are up for it, please help me out by steering my thoughts in new and interesting directions. I always appreciate the challenge of learning what other people think.
